It's been WAY too long!!!
Well, since my last blog, many things have happened in our lives! I am now working at ETMC - Henderson in the ER. I still work in Tyler two days a month. I love being close to home, and that I am able to go to Jace's school functions if I'm at work. Jace will be in the 4th grade! He has grown so much and loves the Texas Tech Red Raiders. He wants to be a cardiologist when he grows up. He is also fascinated with cars! In October, after waiting 7 long years, we found out that I was pregnant! June 7, 2011, we welcomed Emma Claire Ford into the world! She arrived at 8:37 p.m., weighing 7# 5oz. and was 19 3/4 in long! Emma has completed our little family! Jace had his tonsils out the day before her arrival! We thought we had a week or so before Emma would make her appearance, but she proved us wrong! It was not the best planning on my part, but I thank the Lord everything turned out ok! When Emma was 3 weeks old, we made a trip to the Texas Panhandle. We even went to Bartlesville, OK to visit my 102 yr old Great-Grandmother. I am sad to say that I was not able to see all the people I wanted to see, and visit with family much due to me being sick! We ended our mini vacation by going to a Family Reunion in Fredericksburg, TX. I can honestly say that I forgot what it was like to have a newborn! It takes much longer for us to get out the door! Emma has been a good baby, and Jace is smitten with her! He is a very big help too! I am hoping to post monthly, but don't hold your breath! I have been very blessed. I have been off work since Emma was born, and I don't go back until the 24th! Enjoy the pictures. Until next time!

To the Zoo, and The Music Program Too!
The past few weeks have been very busy. I was sick for 4 days, two weeks ago. So sorry for the late post. The week I was sick, Jace had a music program at school. He had a speaking part at the first of the program. He did so good! I did not even know that he had a part. He had been singing some of the songs at home, but he never told me about the speaking part. He welcomed everyone to the last music program at Central Elementary. Next year, Pre-K - Fifth grade are moving to a NEW school. The new facilities are going to be very nice. Some of the schools in Henderson are maybe 50 yrs old. This will be a nice change for the children. They are also going to a standardized dress code next year. So, he will be wearing khaki's and polo's. We will see how well this goes.

This week, we went to the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler. His class was suppose to go April 30, but thanks to the H1N1 a.k.a. Swine Flu, it was postponed to May 21. Hope you enjoy our pictures. We had lots of fun!

Waaayyy Tooooo Loonnnnnggg!
Well, it has been a very long time since I blogged last! I love to read everyone's blogs. I just don't think that I have any news to blog weekly. I could have blogged a month ago, but didn't. Here is what has been going on for the past 3 months. For Spring Break, we went to Six Flags. We were there for 2 days, and rode maybe 4 "big rides". There were so many people there!! I waited in line for 45 minutes for 2 funnel cakes!!! We also waited for 45 minutes just to ride the Judge Roy Scream. We did have a good time, just being together!
Here we go!
Jace riding the spinning the ballons. The only ride that didn't have at least a 15 min. wait. So, he rode it again, and again.

Now for our Easter. We dyed eggs on Sat. night, and Jace informed me that they would have been more colorful if I hadn't forgot to buy the vinegar. It rained all day on Sunday ;( So, we didn't have an eventful day, and to make matters worse, my lunch that I had worked so hard on was ruined. F.Y.I., if you want to cook a ham, buy a ham, not a pork roast. Lesson learned!

Now for the most recent news....
Jace was allergy tested again on Tuesday. He is still veeerrryyy allergic to dust. The good news is the Allergist does not want to put Jace on allergy shots! Yea!!! (for both Mom and Jace, giving your own child shots is not fun) He was doing great on a mixture of Singulair, Nasonex, and Xyzal, until he had to quit taking them to go to the doctor. By the time Tuesday came he was begging us to just give him his medicine. That was the worst thing, but he is feeling better now. Today, we went to "Relay Day" at Jace's school. The kids have been working all week on the different stations they went to. There was Tug'o'War, Sac Races, a Water Relay, an Obstacle Course, Free Throws, and of course Snack Time. Parents participated in Tug'o'War. It was Parents vs. Kids, we (the parents) were instructed to "let the kids win". They won FAIR-AND-SQUARE!!! His class was STRONG!!!! We had lots of fun. Jace's teacher was awarded as Teacher of the Year, and she had asked if I would stay with the class while she went to her reception, so I did. I was not alone though ;) Mrs. F, our sitter's mom & the reading "specialist", was with me. Thank Goodness!! After substituting last year and today, I still believe it takes a very special person to teach. We have been very blessed with Jace's teacher this year. We will miss her very much next year. His future teachers have very large shoes to fill. I will try to update more often, but I am not going to promise anything. Joe and I are doing well. We just work, and run Jace's Taxi Service. We are looking forward to the summer, and hoping to get to visit family! Here are a few shots of Relay Day:

The First of 2009
I know it has been a long time since I last posted. I am sure there have been exciting things happening around The Ford house, but we have been very busy. Our new year started with my birthday. Jace and Joe got me this RED VELVET cake. My favorite.
Joe and I have been busy working and taking Jace to all of his activities. He is playing Upward Basketball. For those of you that are not familiar with Upward Basketball, it is a Christian based program. The players learn new Bible verses each week, and everyone plays the same amount of time, with a prayer before each game and a devotional at each half-time. It has taken him a few games and practices to adjust, as this is his first year of playing.
Jace is the very far kid. If you look closely you can see his face.
He is also involved in Cub Scouts. February is the month for the Pinewood Derby. He and I made his car (Joe was sick), and let me tell you this was a chore! He picked the design, and I cut it. This year we cheated, at Hobby Lobby they have these wraps that look like a painted car. It was very nice, since we had a limited amount of time. I was not able to go to the race, but Jace and Joe had a great time.
We hope everyone has had a good 2009, so far.

Thanksgiving 2008
Well it has been a week since I posted, so here goes. Wow the month of November flew by! I can hardly believe that it is now December! There are just three weeks until Christmas!!! Note to self: You might want to do some Christmas shopping, and put up the Christmas tree. Wednesday at 1:30, Jace woke up crying, saying that his ear hurt. When he tells us his ear hurts we listen. So after making several calls and not finding any appointments, we headed to Tyler to the ER. After seeing the doctor, we found out why his ear was hurting. He had a raging ear infection in his right ear. It amazes me how resilient kids are with illnesses. Jace got to go spend the night with Pops and Meme. As Joe was working on Wednesday night and I had to be at work at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday. I spent Thanksgiving at work, and Jace and Joe were in Nacogdoches at his parents. After I got off work, I headed over there. I ate some leftovers, and finished watching Texas beat A&M. Jace had a fun time playing with his cousins. We sure missed the rest of our families that we did not get to see. Saturday was Jace's actual 7th Birthday. The past seven years he has continued to amaze Joe and me. He has his moments, but he is a very sweet boy, and we are very blessed. We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!
